On 1 October 2012, the project “Development and strengthening of cooperation between academic and private institutions focused on chemical and pharmaceutical research – ChemPharmNet” was launched.
The application prepared by the research team of the Department of Organic Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Palacký University Olomouc, and its partner, the MedChemBio association of legal entities, was successful in the 31st call of priority axis 7.2 Tertiary Education, Research and Development of the Operational Programme Education for Competitiveness.
The project will create and develop partnership networks between the Department of Organic Chemistry of Palacký University Olomouc and other public and private research organisations at national and international level.
The project is intended for academic and other research staff of the Faculty of Science, R&D staff of private institutions engaged in research in chemistry or pharmacy, and undergraduate and postgraduate students of the Faculty of Science, who share a common interest in science and research.
The main activities of the project include organising and carrying out research placements between the individual institutions. These short-term and long-term placements will lead to closer research cooperation and to future joint projects that will further develop the cooperation.
Complementary activities (trade fairs, conferences, consultation visits, specialist training and courses) will support the main activity.
The project is also part of the Integrated Urban Development Plan “Attractive and Competitive Olomouc”.
