Question no. 1
Please specify the number of samples in the holder (5+5) and the number of cuvettes to be supplied (6). Is it acceptable to use an external device to measure the temperature of the sample in the cuvette?
Answer no. 1
The holder must have at least 5 sample positions and at least 5 reference positions. In other words, it is a holder with at least 10 positions (5 samples and 5 references). The cuvettes required as part of the delivery are indeed 6 quartz cuvettes for a minimum volume of 400 µl and 6 quartz cuvettes for a minimum volume of 50 µl.
The temperature must be measured directly inside the cuvette. Measuring the temperature of the circulating medium or of the holder does not meet the contracting authority’s requirements. An external sensor may be used to measure the sample temperature, i.e. inside the cuvette, but its output (temperature record) must be implemented in the software that controls the instrument, and the sensor should preferably work together with the thermostat control.
Question no. 2
The specification states:
The delivery includes a temperature-controlled holder for at least 5+5 cuvettes
The delivery must include the equipment necessary for magnetic stirring of the samples inside the cuvettes
Please clarify. Are these two different devices (spectrophotometer accessories)?
That is, does the holder for at least 5 + 5 cuvettes work without stirring, while the magnetic stirring device is intended for a single cuvette holder?
Answer no. 2
The requirement for the multi-cuvette holder means that stirring must be possible in all cuvettes at the same time.
